The road connecting prefectural road no. 767 and Shiraito Falls, one of the top sightseeing spots in Itoshima City, reopened on Mar. 23. The road had been closed due to mudslides caused by heavy rainfall in the northern Kyushu area in July 2018. Access to the falls had been limited via a detour route. The city announced the completion of the repair and the reopening of the route on Mar. 22 on its website. The remaining part of the route (from the falls to Forest Adventure) is expected to open in April ahead of the peak season of the Golden Week holidays and summer vacation.
