Epsilon No. 6 was launched from the Uchinoura Space Center in Kimotsuki Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, at around 9:50 a.m. on Oct. 12. According to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), an anomaly occurred on the rocket, and about six and a half minutes after launch, a signal was sent to destroy the vehicle. The cause of the anomaly is not yet known. This is the first launch failure for the Epsilon. Epsilon was equipped with a satellite developed by QPS Laboratories, a venture company in Fukuoka City, and a factory in Kurume City. Source: JAXA / NHK
