Earlier today, Sep. 18, Ian Burney, Ambassador of Canada to Japan met with members of the Canadian Rugby Team at their training camp in Nagato, Yamaguchi Prefecture. In this photo, they are holding copies of “Fukuoka Rugby Fan Guide” produced and published by Fukuoka Now for the Fukuoka Host City Organizing Committee. The guide contains practical information for rugby fans from overseas, such as access to the stadium and public viewing schedules. There are also introductions to 94 eateries selected by Fukuoka Now’s editorial team. Thirty thousand copies of the guide will be distributed at hotels, information counters and other places rugby fans are likely to be from Sep. 20. Canada takes on Italy at Hakatanomori Stadium in Fukuoka for the first Rugby World Cup match in Fukuoka on September 26.
