Rugby World Cup Created 15.4 billion in Economic Benefit for Fukuoka Prefecture

According to a report by Japan Rugby Football Union, the games of Rugby World Cup 2019 created an economic impact of ¥15.4 billion in Fukuoka Prefecture. The benefit totaled ¥48.2 billion in Kyushu, with ¥19.9 billion for Oita and ¥12.9 billion for Kumamoto. Among the twelve prefectures with venues, Oita ranked the third in the number of entrants to the official Fan Zone (114,901 persons) and net sales of (¥69,527,000.) Nationwide, approximately 60% of the foreign audiences reportedly visited Japan for the first time. Source: KBC
