Saga Prefecture is soliciting members of the general public to be part of their team tasting and selecting their primary nori (edible seaweed) product, Ariake-kai Ichiban. Those who pass the tests for determining salinity and other tastes will be part of the judging panel held in November and January 2011. Ariake-kai Ichiban is made from the first nori harvests in the autumn and winter, and has been sold since 2007.
