The government and the national governor’s conference are making arrangements to select Saga and Saitama prefectures as trial sites for the shift of the national government*s Employment Security Bureau, commonly known as Hello Work, to local governments. The trial could begin as early as mid-year this year. The objective in principle is to eliminate the local branches of national government agencies.
