Saga Prefecture announced it would resume classes at local elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, and special schools on March 16. The prefecture, where no COVID-19 infections have yet to be recorded, decided to reopen schools at a meeting on March 11 to minimize side effects on children from the school closures.
