Saga University Study Links Stink Bugs Bits To Low Crop Yield

A Saga-University study about transgenerational changes in bean-bug-infested soy plants was published in an American Science magazine. The Plos One magazine introduced the discovery by Makoto Tokuda and other researchers. They found that glycine soja seeds from kamemushi bean-bug-infested plants produce larger beans in a shorter period. Such multi-generational protective reactions against insect bites are rarely seen in similar crops. Source: Saga University / NHK
