Saibu Gas Experts to Provide Eco Tips to Homeowners

Saibu Gas has been selected as a private-sector partner for the Ministry of the Environment’s Uchi Eco Shindan Project, a program aimed at reducing household CO2 emissions, and has started sending energy efficiency experts to homes in four regions—Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Nagasaki and Kumamoto. As a partner in the Uchi Eco Shindan Project, Saibu Gas screeners will visit homes that request screenings and use special software to calculate household energy consumption and O2 emissions from electricity, gas and gasoline bills. They will also introduce eco-friendly products and energy-saving tips. An official from Saibu Gas remarked, “Training experts is out social responsibility as an energy company. We hope to turn this [from a government project] into one of our services in the future.” Source: Nishinippon Shimbun Aug. 8
