Samsung to Open R&D Center in Fukuoka City


South Korean semiconductor and consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung will open a research and development center for semiconductors in the Tenjin district of Fukuoka City in early February, it was announced. It will initially be staffed with 10 people, and that number will be increased in stages to about 50. It will be the company’s fourth R&D center in Japan.
