Traditional Hakata-ori textiles have become available for home sewers for the first time. Sanui Orimoto, one of the producers of the local fabric, began taking orders from shoppers at Hakataori Kougeikan. Approximately 100 kinds of weaved textile, made of silk, polyester, and other materials, can be purchased at requested quantities (1 meter wide/ minimum length 30 centimeters.)
