The city of Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, decided to lift the water rationing system it had in place since last November as the result of a water shortage. The frequent rainfall since the start of the year filled the city’s six primary dams to 80% of capacity. The water shortage continues in Kosaza–cho, however, and since their water supply system is not part of the city’s system, the rationing system will be maintained for residents there.
