Police in Fukuoka arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of secretly filming customers by installing a hidden camera inside a private sauna facility in the city. The suspect, identified as company executive Kazuhiko Uetani, allegedly placed a small camera disguised as a wall-mounted hook in a changing and washroom area of the reservation-only sauna he operated in Minami Ward in September last year. Investigators believe the device recorded nude images of two customers, a man and a woman. The incident came to light after another customer discovered the camera on the floor and reported it to police. The suspect reportedly told investigators the device had been installed for security purposes and that any images of customers were captured incidentally.
