Seattle-Based Ace Hotel to Open in Fukuoka

Mitsubishi Estate has announced that the Ace Hotel, originating from Seattle, will open its doors within a mixed-use redevelopment project on the former site of the IMS building in Tenjin, Fukuoka. This hotel, known for its high design and lifestyle appeal, marks the brand’s second venture in Japan following the Ace Hotel Kyoto. Scheduled for completion in December 2026 with the hotel opening in 2027, the development aims to foster cultural exchanges through art and music, offering a lounge accessible not only to guests but also to the local community. Positioned as a bridge between locals and travelers, the hotel plans to provide 192 rooms, enhancing Fukuoka’s central district as a new cultural and interaction hub. Source: Mitsubishi Estate
