Nishimu Electronics Industries Co., Ltd., a group company of Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc., announced a self-contained toilet that will be useful in times of disaster. The mobile toilet unit, Towailet, functions without a power connection and self-treats human waste using microorganisms. The system effectively eliminates odor and leaves little waste of its own.
