Seven Eleven-style Ippudo tonkotsu ramen is selling well across Japan. Unlike conventional convenience store noodles, the product separates the soup and ‘kata’ (hard texture) noodles until they are heated in a microwave oven. A total of 10 million portions had been sold since its debut in January (beginning at the end of September 2019). Seven-Eleven and the operating company of Ippudo are eager to make further improvements on their first microwavable noodles. Source: Ryutsu Biz
