Sharp Uptick of COVID Related Bankruptcies in Kyushu Okinawa

The latest report by the Fukuoka branch of Tokyo Shoko Research, Ltd. revealed an increasing rate of new coronavirus-related business bankruptcies in the Kyushu-Okinawa region. A total of 200 companies had begun or completed their procedures to close up as of Sep. 16. The prolonged impact of the pandemic created anxieties over excessive debts as many businesses got additional loans to survive the financial hardship. Source: RKB / Saga Shimbun
