Shinkansen To Carry Fresh Produce From Kyushu to Kansai

<b>A shinkansen (bullet train) trial to ship Kyushu-sourced fresh fish and other ingredients to the Kansai area will begin in February. President and Representative Director of JR West, Kazuaki Hasegawa, explained online that the new coronavirus’s impact had boosted the demand and distribution of a wider variety of items. The company plans to use its shinkansen cars’ empty seats and deliver Kagoshima-sourced amberjack and more within shorter hours compared to the conventional truck shipment. Source: Yomiuri
