A new tourist service renting single-person electric cars for free has begun in the town of Mizumaki. This first-in-Kyushu project started as an effort to promote tourism in the extended metropolitan area of Kitakyushu, an area comprised of Kitakyushu City and 16 surrounding municipalities. Three COMS vehicles will allow tourists to visit nine of the tourist spots in the town where public transportation is limited. The service is available at the town’s tourist facility Icotto!
