On Aug 4. Zenrin Group subsidiary Willsmart and JR Kyushu began testing new quadrilingual electronic touch panels at Hakata and Yufuin stations. The panels, which provide tourist information in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean, will be tested for three months to suss out visitors’ needs. The 55-inch panels provide one-stop access to train times, maps and local sightseeing information. The aim of the initiative is to make traveling in Kyushu more convenient for foreign visitors.
