Snow Impact on Transportation in Fukuoka and Saga (Updated)

As of 7:30 AM on February 4, some route bus services have been suspended due to snow.

Expressways

Fukuoka Urban Expressway – No restrictions
Kitakyushu Urban Expressway – No restrictions
Highways: Nagasaki Bypass (Upbound to Isahaya) – Closed between Nishiyama Town and Nagasaki-Tarami IC due to snow

Public Transportation

Nishitetsu Buses
• Local Routes – In the Kurume, Saga, and Omuta areas, the Ukiha branch line has been suspended.

Highway Buses
• Fukuoka–Nagasaki (Showamachi route) – Operating with detours.
• Other routes – Conditional operation. Potential detours, significant delays, mid-route terminations, or return to starting points may occur depending on road conditions.

Subways & Railways
• Fukuoka City Subway – Normal operation
• Kitakyushu Monorail – Normal operation
• JR Kyushu
Conventional Lines (Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Oita, Saga, Nagasaki areas) – No cancellations or delays due to snow.
Kyushu Shinkansen – No impact from snow.
West Kyushu Shinkansen – No impact from snow.
• Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line – Normal operation
• Chikuho Electric Railway – Normal operation

Air Travel
A total of 21 flights to and from Fukuoka Airport have been canceled, including routes to Tokyo (Haneda), Nagoya, Okinawa, and Fukue.
