SOE To End In Fukuoka But Restrictions Until Jul 11

The national government officially announced plans to lift the state of emergency for Fukuoka Prefecture on Jun. 20. While the region does not expect an extension of the SOE, some business regulations would continue under the anti-infection program of ‘mann-enn boushi to juten sochi’ until Jul. 11. The prefectural governor, Seitaro Hattori, expects that the regional hospital bed occupancy is predicted to fall below 20% by the end of June, thanks to the continued cooperation of local eateries and other businesses.
