The Korean Organization of Transfer Technology Market (KOTM), an NPO promoting the exchange of South Korean personnel and corporate technology, held a fair in Fukuoka City to match up with local companies about 40 South Korean trainees interested in working in Japan who have spent eight months studying Japanese and subjects in the tourism, auto, and machine parts industries. The fair presented the content of the trainees’ studies and helped set up job interviews. The South Korean government initiated this program in 2008, and 75 people have received training so far, with about half finding jobs.
