South Korean Tourist Bus Catches Fire on Kyushu Expressway

On the morning of March 6th, a tourist bus traveling on the Kyushu Expressway in Kurume City caught fire and burned fiercely. The bus was carrying 26 passengers and crew members, all of whom were able to evacuate safely without injury. The police and fire department arrived at the scene after receiving a report from the bus driver that smoke was coming from the bus. When they arrived, they found that the bus was fully engulfed in flames and immediately began fighting the fire. Eight fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, and it took approximately two hours to extinguish the fire.The bus was operated by the travel company “Easter” and was carrying a group of tourists from South Korea. According to the bus driver, the fire may have been caused by a tire bursting while the bus was in motion. The police and fire department are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
