Sumitomo Chemical Co. announced it would build a new plant in Oita City to make adhesives for tires and lumber. They plan to invest about 10 billion yen in the plant, which they hope to have operating by April 2010. They also plan to install the most modern automated production line to help them meet the growing demand from China and Southeast Asia.
