Swim Championship Volunteer Training Begins in Fukuoka City

Training for volunteers who will assist in the operation of the World Aquatics Championships and World Aquatics Masters Championships has commenced at a gymnasium in Fukuoka City. The World Aquatics Championships will take place in Fukuoka City from July 14th to 30th, followed by the World Aquatics Masters Championships from August 2nd to 11th in Fukuoka City, Kumamoto City, and Kagoshima City. Approximately 5,000 volunteers are expected to participate in both competitions, with about 4,000 of them slated to receive training. The first training session took place at the Fukuoka City Civic Gymnasium on the 9th, with around 300 individuals in attendance. The training revolved around a manual explaining that volunteers, being the face of the competition, have a role in leaving a positive impression on visitors. Source: NHK
