Takashima Reflects on 10th year as Fukuoka Mayor

On December 7, Soichiro Takashima celebrated his tenth year as mayor of Fukuoka City. In a recent interview, he said he felt the city regained energy in the time since he took over leadership. Takashima highlighted the importance of the city’s progress in providing citizen-friendly services and shared a vision to make it a more desirable city for young generations. The hosting of international financial businesses and continued support for startups would be vital in creating more jobs for them.
