Takeda Tetsuya to Get Honorary Degree
The Fukuoka University of Education in Munakata announced it would present an honorary degree to popular entertainer and Fukuoka City native Takeda Tetsuya, who withdrew from the school to pursue a show business career. It is the first time the university has awarded an honorary degree. The degree will be awarded at a ceremony in September, after which Takeda will lead a performance by his band and give a talk to the students.
