LAOX will close all its shops in Kyushu and Okinawa, reflecting upon unclear prospects for international tourism related to the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The major duty-free shop operator currently operates 24 shops across Japan. However, half of those shops, including six in Kyushu and one in Okinawa, will be closed shortly.
