Fukuoka City, the local taxi association, and the prefectural police have been working together to develop solutions for reducing traffic congestion around Fukuoka Yahuoku! Dome. The parties involved have decided to set up a new taxi stand inside the grounds of the stadium that will be open to the public during match days and concerts. Catching a taxi in the area surrounding the dome will be prohibited, which will hopefully alleviate a great deal of congestion. The measures come in response to a discussion held by Mitsubishi Estate, who are constructing a large commercial facility adjacent to the dome, and other concerned parties in anticipation of further traffic issues that might arise. Fukuoka City is also looking at the possibility of increasing the number of lanes turning right at the Yokatopia Bridge (West) intersection to encourage the use of the Momochi Ramp and Fukuoka Expressway.
