A 48-year-old teacher employed at a municipal junior high school in Fukuoka City has been arrested. Last October, he allegedly engaged in indecent acts with a 14-year-old female student whom he had met through social media. The arrested individual is a teacher working at a municipal junior high school in Fukuoka City’s Sawara Ward.
According to the police, in October of last year, at a hotel in Fukuoka City, he paid ¥30,000 in cash to the 14-year-old girl in exchange for engaging in indecent behavior. As a result, he is suspected of offenses related to child prostitution.
The teacher and the victimized student had initially connected through social media. On the day of the incident, they met in person for the first time. Following a consultation from the student’s mother, the police conducted an investigation that involved checking the student’s smartphone. This led to the discovery of evidence implicating the teacher. During questioning, the teacher reportedly admitted to the allegations, stating that he was under stress and acted out of curiosity.
