According to the officials, Nishitetsu and other landowners held a meeting on December 9 to discuss the redevelopment of an area along the Naka River in the eastern part of Fukuoka City’s Tenjin subway station. The redevelopment project includes the Nishitetsu Inn Fukuoka, a business hotel, and the Suikyo Tenmangu Shrine. The Tenjin Big Bang, a redevelopment project by Fukuoka City, allows for relaxed height restrictions as long as an outline of the plan is submitted to the city by the end of December.
