IMS announced the start of the renovation of the IMS building on Nov. 9. They plan to spend over ¥200,000,000 to renovate 20 shops and will finish in spring next year. The theme of the renovation is ‘Supporting Life for Good Grown-Ups’ and new features will include a working space called ‘Mama Square’ to support working mothers, a branch of an Italian fitness club called ‘GC Milano (name TBC)’, the first of its kind in Japan, and ‘Rupee’ an interior design shop with handmade goods (first shop in Kyushu). The first 11 shops will open by the end of Jan. 2017. Source: IMS, Nov. 2, 2016
