A trial “Fly & Cruise” service connecting Kitakyushu Airport with key tourist sites in the Kanmon area has launched, aiming to boost regional tourism. The route links the airport with Moji Port Retro District and Karato Terminal in Shimonoseki by boat. The first voyage carried tour groups from South Korea, offering a one-hour cruise passing directly beneath the Kanmon Bridge. According to Kitakyushu City, the service can save travelers about an hour compared to public transport while providing scenic value as a tourist experience.
