Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Somkid Jatusripitak visited the industrial manufacturer Yaskawa Electric Corporation in Kitakyushu City on February 8. The Deputy PM is in Fukuoka for the establishment of the Thai consulate in the prefecture. Kitakyushu City Mayor Kenji Kitahashi spoke about his desire to see the local area deepen their relationship with Thailand in various fields, such as the environment, sports, and industry. After the visit Mr. Jatusripitak expressed how impressed he was by Yaskawa’s robotic products and his plans to help develop similar technology in Thailand. Source: NHK News Web, 2/8/2018
