Thirteen Consecutive Days with Over One Hundred Daily Infections

Daily cases of the new coronavirus infections in Fukuoka Prefecture remained high during the year-end and new year holidays. As of Jan. 3, the regional daily count surpassed one hundred for the thirteenth consecutive day, bringing the cumulative total to 9,477. The ‘Fukuoka Corona Warning’ is still in effect as the current situation meets two of the four criteria: (1) hospital bed occupancy rate 67.7% (criteria: 25%+), and (2) the rate of unknown transmission route stands at 50% (criteria: 50%+).
