Three JR Companies Sell Joint Rail Passes to Foreigners

JR Kyushu, JR West Japan, and JR Shikoku announced the launch of sales of the JR Sanyo-Shikoku-Kyushu Rail Pass for foreigners for use on the trains it operates, including the Shinkansen. The hope is that after conducting PR campaigns for western Japan as a whole, it will attract tourism from overseas, which has been lagging since the nuclear accident at Fukushima. The pass is good for five days and costs 25,000 yen.
