The Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan designated three additional historical sites in Fukuoka Prefecture as National Monuments. ‘Genko Borui’ inside the former Kyushu University Hakozaki Campus is the eleventh location where the historic stone wall remains. Also, ‘Choshizuka Kofun’ in Itoshima City is a 96-meter-long tomb built in the late 4th Century. Monuments in Japan fall into three categories, including “Historic Sites,” “Places of Scenic Beauty,” and “Natural Monuments.” Source: Mainichi
