Tokyu Hands, the large Tokyo-based sundries mass merchandiser, announced plans to open a store in Kumamoto City next spring. It will be their second Kyushu outlet after the store that opened in the JR Hakata Station building in March 2011. The Kumamoto store will be on the first floor of the local Tsuru-ya Department Store, and have only 40% of the floor area of the Fukuoka store. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun
