The West Nippon Expressway Company will sponsor a bus tour of the famous bridges in Kumamoto, Miyazaki, and Oita prefectures for two days and one night from November 3~4. These tours are one of the new enterprises of the expressway company, and this tour will be their fifth. The tour is limited to 40 people, and will cost ¥15,800 per person. The bus makes an early departure from Fukuoka at 7:40am, making its first stop at Yamato Machi (Kumamoto) to see Tujunkyo– an Edo period stone bridge that splashes water. The next stop is Takachiho (Miyazaki) where the group can walk across the Takachiho Tekkyo iron bridge. Standing at 105m high, it’s Japan’s tallest bridge! After a night’s rest in a hotel in Hyuga City (Miyazaki) the bus will set off to see a rigid frame highway bridge that’s currently under construction in Hyuga City. Finally, the tour will pass the famous Kokonoe Yume Ootsuri Hashi in Oita before returning to Fukuoka. Reservation required, please call 092-762-1111 for more details.
