Tourism Campaign To Resume While Modified Corona Alert Continues

Fukuoka Prefecture has decided to continue its corona alert and call for voluntary restraint from spending long periods inside restaurants. At the same time, to support the tourism industry, the prefecture plans to resume a tourism campaign from April 8, in which accommodation and other expenses will be subsidized. The prefecture recommends people avoid using restaurants for long periods, with a standard stay of about two hours. The request to limit the number of people at the same table to four or less will be lifted for restaurants that have been certified by the prefectural government as having infection control measures. They also announced that the corona alert would be lifted when the utilization rate of hospital beds drops below 20%. Regarding the tourism promotion campaign, residents of Saga, Kumamoto, Oita, Kagoshima, and Yamaguchi prefectures will be able to take advantage of the campaign, and residents of Fukuoka Prefecture will also be able to take advantage of the campaign in the five prefectures. Participants must have received three doses of the vaccine, among other conditions, and their use is limited to accommodations that have received certification from Fukuoka Prefecture for infection control measures.
