Toyota Kyushu Production Drops 9.2% in First Half

Toyota Motors Kyushu revealed that its vehicle production in the first half of the current fiscal year fell 9.2% from the year-before period to less than 184,700 units. The company’s original projections called for a 10% production decline for the full fiscal year, but with prospects for the second half unclear, actual production may be cut further. Roughly 60% of the company’s production is exported to the United States, and demand fell sharply in that country after June.
