Toyota Motor Kyushu reported a 3% increase in sales for the fiscal year ending March 2026 as strong Lexus demand boosted production. The company said revenue rose to JPY1.396 trillion, marking its first sales increase in two years. Vehicle production increased 2% to about 384,690 units, supported by steady demand for the Lexus ES sedan and RX SUV models. The automaker’s Miyata plant in Fukuoka Prefecture remains one of Toyota Group’s main Lexus production centers, exporting vehicles to around 80 countries and regions. Meanwhile, production of hybrid components and engines declined for a second consecutive year because of lower demand within the Toyota Group. Company officials said Middle East tensions had not yet significantly affected operations but would continue monitoring developments. Source: Nikkei / Yomiuri Shimbun
