Fukuoka Prefectural Police have arrested two additional suspects involved in a theft ring accused of stealing iron plates from construction sites across Fukuoka Prefecture. On May 14, authorities raided a precious metal recycling firm suspected of purchasing the stolen goods, unearthing 171 buried iron plates. The arrested couple, suspected of stealing plates worth approximately 750,000 yen from a dumpsite in Saga City last July, are part of a group linked to 31 cases totaling damages of 35 million yen.
