Unemployed Man Nabbed For Painting Theft at Mojiko Station

According to police, an unemployed 67-year-old man in Mojiko Ward, Kitakyushu City, is suspected of stealing one of the paintings from an art exhibition held at JR Mojiko Station. According to the artist, the stolen painting was worth ¥13,000. When station staff noticed that the paintings were missing, they filed a damage report with the police, who raided the man’s home after reviewing evidence found on security cameras. The suspect confessed to the charges, saying he stole the painting to display it at home for appreciation. Source: KBC
