Fukuoka Prefecture has filed a criminal complaint against a longstanding inn in Chikushino City for suspected violation of the Public Bathhouse Law, as they provided false explanations to the health center after receiving improvement guidance for changing the bath water only twice a year. Daimaru Bessou, located in Chikushino City, neglected to replace the bath water except on two days of closure per year, as required by the prefectural regulations, and also failed to inject chlorine disinfectant, resulting in the detection of Legionella bacteria at levels 3,700 times higher than the standard value.
