Visit Iki

Are you the active type? Then Iki Island is for you! Spring is a great time to go, and one must-visit place is the uninhabited island, Tatsunoshima, located just off the northern coast of Iki.

Join a 40-minute boat cruise (late Mar. ~ Nov. 30) around the island or land on the shore to enjoy hiking and swimming. Sparkling sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and impressive views await!

Getting to Iki

Jetfoils and ferries depart from Bayside Place Hakata Wharf in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka.
(Note, the jetfoil and ferry use different docks)

Access: by bus
From in front of JR Hakata Station: about 15 minutes, get off at Hakata Futo.
From Nishitetsu Fukuoka Tenjin Station: about 12 minutes, get off at Hakata Futo.

From Fukuoka Airport
By subway
It is about 5 minutes by subway to Hakata Station from the airport which is directly connected. Take the bus from in front of Hakata Station.
By taxi
Approximately 15 minutes by city highway.

Hakata Port to Ashibe Port: jetfoil (65 min.), ferry (130 min.)
Hakata Port to Gonoura Port: jetfoil (70 min.), ferry (140 min.)
