JR Kyushu has announced a campaign called Dream Kyushu Shinkansen which will award one lucky couple the right to reserve an entire shinkansen train free of charge for a wedding, concert or other event. Held as part of the Kyushu Shinkansen’s second anniversary celebrations, the campaign will grant winners a one-way trip from Hakata to Kagoshima Chuo on a six to eight-car train that can hold up to 350 guests. The company will also cover up to ¥500,000 in decoration costs. The dream trip will be held between June and September, and the date will be determined in consultation with the winning couple. Interested persons can apply from the JR Kyushu homepage. Applications must arrive by Mar. 29, and the winner will be selected after a careful screening.
