Competitions to decide the best dishes served at local arcades took place in Fukuoka City. The fourth edition featured meat dishes to-go – a total of 2,676 votes were placed on recommended foods at fourteen shotengai (shopping arcades.) ‘La Terra’ in Hanamizuki Shotengai of Jonan Ward won the first prize with its braised beef cheek in red wine (牛ホホ肉の赤ワイン煮込み.) A steak dish by Shikanoshima-based restaurant ‘Nikusaikyo-densetsu’ and a hamburger plate by Wajiro-based dining bar (3rd Space Touri) also ranked the second and the third respectively.
