Winter Bonuses: Increases in Kitakyushu, Decreases in Fukuoka

Winter bonuses for public servants in Kitakyushu increased by 3% this year, reflecting adjustments to align with private-sector standards. Administrative employees received an average of ¥908,638, a rise of ¥26,000 from last year. Mayor Kazuhisa Takeuchi maintained a 10% pay reduction, keeping his bonus unchanged at ¥2.78 million. Meanwhile, Fukuoka City’s bonuses fell by 3.6%, with administrative staff receiving an average of ¥829,479. Mayor Soichiro Takashima’s bonus decreased to ¥3.47 million.
